A season of Change

A season of Change

Autumn is beautiful ! As the leaves turn to beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow, you feel change in the air.  I love watching these vibrant and colorful leaves magically fall off the trees and gently drift in the wind to cover our yard and street in beautiful colors. The season of Fall reminds me to slowdown, to embrace the majesty of change.

Fall is a time of change leading us into the magic of winter. A time for inner reflection, and planning. Encouraging  changes to be explored, implemented and experienced in the newness of spring.

This is a season of Change in my life.  I have watched my son change from a teenager to a missionary this last week as he has been in the home mtc. I am preparing my heart for the change that will come as he leaves home for two years. the change of having two sons serving the Lord for a few months. The change that will come as our oldest son returns home as an adult who has grown and become a man of God over the last two years. The change of having just two children at home and seeing the empty nest that looms in the horizon.

This stage in motherhood feels like constant change. As hard as change can be sometimes, it truly is a beautiful journey filled with color and movement and hope.

I find myself sympathizing with the tress outside my window, loosing their leaves and entering a new season.

I hope that this autumn season is full of beauty, peace, and color for you.
