Welcome to Missionary Mom Co. I am so happy you are here! I hope that our products, blog, and reviews help as you enter this new phase in life of being a Missionary Mom.
In 2020, when my oldest son started to prepare his missionary paperwork for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I looked for a guide or list to help me know what I needed to do to help him get started. I was not able to find something specifically dedicated to assisting missionary moms, so I created a simple check list on my computer to help me keep track of all my “to dos” during the process. It was extremely helpful, as not only do I love checklists and crossing things off when I complete a task, but also because all mission related tasks were in one convenient place.
In March of 2022 my second son started the process to become a missionary. I pulled up my checklist and modified it with some of the lessons I had learned from sending my first son into the field. While in the process of reviewing my lists and preparing to help my future missionary, doing this I had a very strong and clear prompting that, “Other moms need this too”! Those words pierced my heart and would not leave my mind.
It was as if Heaven was giving me a direct download of what I should be doing to help mothers whose children were preparing to enter the mission field. So, with much prayer and heavenly guidance I started Missionary Mom Co. with the goal to simplify the process for you and your missionary and to help make this new transition in life a little easier. This should be a time of joy and excitement, not stress and anxiety, and I want you to not feel overwhelmed with all there is to do as you prepare for your missionary’s journey.
This stage in life can be a joyful one where you spend all available minutes with your son or daughter before they enter the mission field strengthening testimonies and showing an increase of love. Having a place where the to dos are simplified and organized allows you to feel peace of mind and affords you that extra precious time with your prospective missionary.
My hope is that as you use our products and visit our site you will find a supportive community of missionary moms whose youth are serving the Savior for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
