We do not doubt our mothers knew it.

We do not doubt our mothers knew it.

Faithful mothers

Sometimes living the gospel is hard work… getting the family up, dressed, fed, and to church on time each Sunday some days feels like running a marathon.

Sacrificing time on weekdays so our children can attend church programs and activities is not always easy.

Waking up in the early hours of the day or staying up in the late hours of the night so our family can all be together to read and study the scriptures takes effort and energy.

Driving our children to youth camps, seminary or institute. Preparing family home evening lessons and praying that they are effective.  Kneeling in prayer in the mornings and continuing that prayer in your heart through out the day. All these things are sacrifices we are making for our children… each and every one of these actions is fortifying our family and home against the evil designs of the adversary.

Each of these actions on our part are helping our children have faith promoting experiences that allow a testimony to grow and flourish.

We are giving them the opportunity to live a life worthy to attend the temple, to go on a mission, to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Mothers, you are training them to serve the Lord through your faithful and unwavering example! They see your sacrifice, they see your effort, they see your faith and so does the Lord.

Yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them. And they rehearsed unto me the words of their mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it. Alma 56: 47 - 48

With love,

Scarlet
